Belgian City of Vorst names street after Toots
On June 22, 2011, the “Toots Thielemansstraat” in Vorst-Forest ( Brussels ) was officially inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of the Governement of the Metropolitan District of Brussels and of the French-speaking community: Evelyne Huytenbroeck.
Toots plants Tree in Inowroclaw
It is a local tradition in Inowroclaw that visiting celebrities get to plant a tree and during his tour in Poland, Toots was asked by the mayor to plant a tree in the local park. This is the first tree that was planted by a Jazz musician. [...]
